Hello everybody, I'm new here and have been wondering about a whole number of things. Most notably of which today is whether or not you truly need to be a priest as a Christian to do things from ask for His blessings on people to casting out demons. The reason for my questioning this is it goes hand in hand with my distrust of big organized religion what with growing up in Utah where IMO the Mormons control every aspect of life behind the scenes and being a natural Libertarian I cannot stand this control of a persons life by the state when the state doesnt know whats best for a person, well that and for whatever reason I understand things better than anyone I've met my own age and seeing the damage that Communism caused and all Communism is is the state controlling every single aspect of your life. So anyway, everyone is welcome to come and opine on this.

Welcome, yes I don't have anything to do with organized religion, I am my own man, I take what suits me from the smorgasbord of life, and never been happier.

I like organized religions which are totally unorganized and have "big families" who have 14 others that will tell you what it is but everyone likes mom's food and no two temples are exactly the same except for the grandmas at the temples even though they may not even speak the same of any one of 14 different mother tongues.

So I am "sort of" like you.

And I don't like the gulags, either.

OK so I wondering something. How much power do entities like angels and demons really have over a person? I was reading on a thread in a different sub-forums that a member was having issues ,don't remember the specifics it was in the paranormal section, but a member who posted on the thread got me thinking about it because I believe like carnal influences that people experience living in a fallen world filled with sin and disease and what comes with and because when God made all of existence He put man above entities like angels and demons and earthly spirits and while these entities, earthly spirits excluded, the only powery they have is that of influencing decisions that man makes.

Hey everybody I need help with something. Last night I had a really weird dream. In my dream i was asleep in my college dorm and i got a call from my girlfriend that someone was in her house or her appartment, I don't remember which it was. So i raced over to her house (I say house in the sense that it was either one) and when I got there, he was trying to rape her. I shot him with the .357 magnum I keep in the car (mind you this is in my dream, I'm not in college yet, Im still single, and I dont own a .357 magnum). Only minutes later, the cops shown up and I told them what happened. So what does my dream say about me because I am clueless about the meaning of it.

It doesn't say anything about you. Dreams aren't exactly figured out yet, but one major theory is that simulated threats in the mind are just like anything else that pops into dreams, a sort of introduction and simulation of possible outcomes. It could also be that short-term memory is being parsed through so that it can be written into memory and fortified, or discarded is need be.
