Creating a new religion

Conceivia

Working to save mankind
I believe that God is trying to communicate to us, to prevent World War 3, or at least to save mankind by saving as many people as possible.

God communicates to us through the religions of the World, legends, myths, fairy tales, as well as modern stories and movies, So I think a good religion would be one that seeks out information from God, which can help mankind.

In my own studies, I have found a lot of extremely useful information. Much of it simply confirms what I already knew, but even so it is good to have some confirmation. For example, I found the basic idea of my plan to end poverty and bring about World Peace was given by Moses and by Jesus. Jesus gave me lots of very valuable information to help fill in the details.

I would like to find other people, who would like to help seek out such information, as well as spread the information to others.

We have a huge problem, that people accept only one possible truth. We expect everyone to believe what we (ourselves) believe. My way or the highway.

We need a religion that does not do that. We need to stop the dogma, and start allowing and encouraging free thinking. I want only one basic concept for this religion, that we need to seek information from God that can help mankind. That we need to work for the good of mankind. We need to use multiple paths to get that information. We need to encourage the use of multiple paths.

If there has to be one thing that unites us, let it be that we all put the good of mankind above our own personal interests. Let it be our caring for each other that unites us as one people.

After all, all the current religions entice the people by giving them something selfish, like saving their own souls, eternity in Heaven, flying away in spaceships or whatever. I believe any religion which teaches such things, is really not uniting the people, but rather separating them from mankind.

What is the essence of you? What is the core of your thinking? Is it, the good of yourself, or is it the good of mankind? Is the essence of you, love, or is it selfishness?

Why would he prevent WW3 when he's only going to bring about an Apocalypse anyway? Man would, surely, be saving him a job. This just sounds like the start of a doomsday cult to me.

We all have to find our on truth. Aren't you pretty much espousing what you are trying to do away with by laying down certain do's and don'ts?

The agree with some of your motives. The challenge is that free thought should not have many core beliefs based on one person's views. Some of dont believe in God. Some do not believe He exists. A lot of people value dogma or religious structure because it supports them. It helps them be in community and help brothers and sisters within it. Community brings love.

I believe one can have a faith (or live a purposeful life for those who dont care for the word) when or if they have found their goal in This life. If we support each other as a community. If we help seekers find their way as to strengthen ourselves. The love would be inner and outer love. Humans are routine individuals. Some structure would help but only determined and fluctuate with the opinion and beliefs of the community. Tradition is helpful to many because it lets them not only know where they are going but were they are from as well. Finding focus of learning about our past will help. Respecting others is good. Gratitude and the expression of it is another good core.

I like free thought to an extent. How can we work together if everyone wants to be individsuals? Thats a form of selfishness. Balancing the two would help.

Why do you assume God is planning to bring about the Apocalypse?

Jesus gave us the example of Jonas and Ninevah, in which the people were warned about a sort of judgement day, and the people chose to change their ways, and they were saved. I believe this suggests that we can avoid Judgement Day all together, if the people choose.

There is also supposed to be a "Savior". This suggests that mankind will be saved, or at least some people. Obviously, the people may not listen to the Savior, but if they do listen, they will be saved and there will be no Apocalypse.

So why can't a community be created under the foundation of free thinking? Why can we not just say an Athiest is just someone who is taking a different path to enlightenment? We don't have to force people to believe the same as we do.

Multiple paths to enlightenment.

When you refered to God it threw off the free thought religion to that supported by God. Also, it depends on what you mean by enlightenment. What is your definition of it? (little irrated for other reasons. not meant to be a harsh reply)

We could imagine that we have a heart and die a lonly god ... or we simply could care about others in life. In best hope others do not just use us while they are lying. Thats it.

If you reached the end of logic. The only answer is simple - take care for other, stand for something, etc ... There are religions - Do they hinder people to come to the end or do they help others to reach it? How many percent of believers are following their rules, blindly - and aren't they the reason why they rebel against it as a form of not to believe? And isn't atheism itself not a part of the key to reach the end? Yes i think it is. So i dont understand why people take different positions and opinions and separate questioning it from believing it, or even not doing both at all and say ":p, f*** you. I dont mind." . This all is one package. But if it helps ppl that there is a derivation of truth - it ok as long as it doesnt make them blind.

We all are afraid that one of us is blind to see the truh. Do not step in that darkness of believing that you are blind. It doesnt count if you simply care for others. It you are there for others. It doesnt count if your not lying,
and it doesnt count what you believe - It is what makes you a better human as that thoughts and emotions resonates in your heart. Does it comes from a god. I dunno. It isnt really important at all. Here is now. Just dont step into the abyss of losing yourself in questioning to much, and do not get blind by anothers truth which you havnt come up with for yourself.

Die a lonly god - or - take care for others.

If you want to change position - its all about to give one up.

P.S.: Both positions has their time. Its still about to know when to change.

I like this religion of yours. But people tend to get uptight about religions, especially those different than their own religion. So it might be better to call it a way of living where people care about each other and are unselfish, a way of living that leads to peace in the world. You can find people of diverse religions and also people who are non religious who understand this. Generally, when you are empathetic and treat others fairly they will come to like you and treat you fairly in return.
