I collect anything Japan related. I've got calligraphy, Shinto stuff, kakemono, yukata, geisha dolls...that sort of things.

I also used to collect sea glass.

Where do you keep them ? And why are you up at 12:00 AM you poor soul
My sleep schedule is a mess, & I'm up reading about trailer wheel alignment.
(Tomorrow I'll check some work I did today.)
I keep me engines & other machinery in about 16,000 sq ft of outbuildings, & a few at a museum in PA.

I collect computers and computer parts.

Other than being just a hobby, it is useful for me and those around me when they need it. Right now I own 3 desktop computers, 1 laptop and 1 tablet. 2 of the desktops are built using the parts I collected. It is not like I buy to collect, I buy to use, then keep the old parts after upgrading. Just looking at them makes me feel good.

I collect stamps and postal history (34 albums) and tarot cards (21 albums). I did start collecting old computers, but quickly realised that it was impractical in a London flat: no outbuildings here, and living space costs £4 to £5 per square inch!

PS I wonder if I should have counted those 2,000 toy soldiers?

Books and videos I may or may not ever read or watch. I have to weed them out once or twice a year and keep just those I probably will get to. I collect interesting (to me) decorative items of different cultures.

I collect rocks and minerals. I have a few nice fossils and some garnets along with other specimens. My best mineral find was a large lump of Kyanite that is almost as big as my hand.

I have to be careful because I can easily get attached and focused on objects. Since moving into a small trailer, I've had to be careful not to collect but occasionally I still look for rocks and fossils and stash some in my bag. I've always been fascinated by fossils and old objects like coins no longer used. There was a time I collected antique "junk" like old tea pots, plate sets and even glass items. As a child growing up though, CDs and records were my biggest obsession. Luckily music can be downloaded and played but I still miss the sound of an old record playing. I have yet to get rid of all my CDs but I got to have my music whether it's on the radio or on my CD. I just can't let go of music in shape way or form.
