There's a Canadian clothing brand called "Roots." Its mascot is a beaver.

When the Australian exchange student in our university class visited the local mall for the first time, he collapsed with laughter when he saw the Roots store covered in beaver silhouettes. All the Canadians were like "what?"

They really should open a store here. It would go viral overnight.

I had my car in the shop last week, it cost as much as I paid for the car.
Thats why I work on them. It's often times the only option because I don't have $2,000 for them to do it, but I do have the $15 it cost for the part.

That's useful if you have the knowledge and the tools. I do some of the work myself, but for other things it's more economic to work a few hours to pay the mechanic than to do the work myself, which would take me longer than the work to get the money.
And more than half of the bill was for parts anyway, €700 for a new catalytic converter.
