Did white cops "target" ethnics where I was a cop?

YUP!
So did I.
BUT it was tempered with a lot of factors.
A black person in a not so nice vehicle in a upper class neighborhood IS suspicious.
Is it right?
NO!
But it IS suspicious.
Is it racism?
Well, maybe but it IS suspicious. Cops make mistakes but that is part of the job.
We are SUPPOSED to be suspicious.
We make mistakes and we get SUED.
You you make a mistake at work do you get sued and possibly charged with Federally violating
someones rights?
It is a hard job and I've known outstanding cops. But when I read something like this story, it's clear that a real problem exists and anyone who ignores the problem is doing the good cops a dis-service by protecting the racist and bad cops.

Black GOP Senator Talks About Being Pulled Over By Police 7 Times In One Year

In the course of one year as an elected official, Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) was pulled over seven times by law enforcement. Another time, a Capitol Police officer demanded that Scott show him his ID because the special pin on Scott’s suit jacket ― a pin assigned to United States senators ― evidently wasn’t enough.
...

“There is a deep divide between the black community and law enforcement ― a trust gap,” Scott said. “We cannot ignore these issues. Because while so many officers do good ― and we should be very thankful in support of all those officers that do good ― some simply do not. I’ve experienced it myself.”
...
But the vast majority of the times, I was pulled over for nothing more than driving a new car in the wrong neighborhood, or some other reason just as trivial...

It’s easy to identify a U.S. senator by our pin. I recall walking into an office building just last year after being here for five years on the Capitol, and the officer looked at me, with a little attitude, and said: “The pin, I know. You, I don’t. Show me your ID.” I’ll tell you, I was thinking to myself, “Either he thinks I’m committing a crime, impersonating a member of Congress” ― or, or what? Well, I’ll tell you that later that evening I received a phone call from his supervisor apologizing for the behavior. Mr. President, that is at least the third phone call that I’ve received from a supervisor or the chief of police since I’ve been in the Senate.

Looting, assault, & arson discourage investment in the community, which contributes to economic woe
Boohoo. Off to the education camps. If you commit crimes with victims, victims will avoid you.

Logic 101.

Solution: Black community needs to pop head out of buttocks.

Somehow convince people in troubled areas that if they really want improvement, it starts at home.
Cooperate with cops investigating crimes. Ditch the dictum that "snitches get stiches".
Agreed. Good luck with that. Crime is hardwired into the culture. Time in prison is a status symbol.

They've peed in their own Wheaties® for decades. You can lead a horse to water, etc.

The problem is within their community, not outside of it.

What's more suspicious about that than a white person in the same situation? And I'm sure you are very aware the niceness of one's car doesn't inherently mean anything, regardless of where they are driving. Afterall, the best way to do illegal things is to blend in with the crowd and not stand out.

I don't give a damn but the BS is thrown in our faces constantly by the Whiner Class.
Those who make billions of dollars and whine and complain that anyone dare suggest the upper-crust of their income be taxed at a higher rate and demand social welfare be hacked and slash so they have more money in their pockets?

Actually, far more whites are killed by police than blacks. I don't know about the Hispanic stats.
The overall number, yes, but whites make up a much bigger part of the population, and when you look at it statistically, blacks are killed at a disproportionately higher rate than whites. But, anyone being killed by police without justification is a problem regardless of race. But, again, what sells isn't facts, it's sensationalized BS.

They commit exponentially more crimes, so the stat you cite falls flat on its face.
They are prosecuted more, but that does not mean they commit more crimes. Want to know how many crimes I've committed that I've never even been arrested for, let alone prosecuted for?

There is a reason "snitches get stitches," and it's because it's not just narcing out people to the cops, it often involves grievous betrayals.
If you don't want to live in a civilized society and participate in it on all levels then you reap what you sow.

Which involve lesser sentencings, not a total failure to prosecute.
You really are a masochist.

I've got a college degree in CJ and 40 years in LE. I have a pretty good idea about what is going on, where, why, how, and when.

You can beat your head against that wall all you like. You won't persuade me that you've got a better handle on this problem than I do.
