This will take time. :)

The comparitive religion section is less active than the religious debates section. Also the thread title 'Denomination: Revolutions' isn't as stricking as 'Poll: Select your religion' or something obvious like that.

True. I think I'll PM one of the admins and get them to change the title. Also, I learned from last time that you should be able to choose more than one.

Charismissional Christ-follower here. I'm often described as a closet Anglican or Lutheran, and there's a lot of truth to those perceptions, since my thinking has been much influenced by the writings of C.S. Lewis and Martin Luther, but my actual church is Assemblies of God. Depending on the issue, I could be anywhere from fundamentalist to very liberal, so I'm not very predictable until you know me. :rainbow1:

I guess you can say that I am agnostic. I don't believe in any religious order and have been reading lots of Jiddu Krishnamurti lately as well as some Eckhart Tolle.

You must have read The Power of Now, right? That is probably the most influential book I've ever read.

Power of Now is a wonderful book. It has been quite influential for me as well. I believe that Eckhart Tolle's books are kind of a "watered" down version of Krishnamurti's beliefs. I prefer to read Krishnamurti, but Eckhart Tolle has done a lot to help transform peoples' lives as well.

Do you have any recommendations for any of his books?

Christianity, although I was a Baptist for many years, I don't follow the beliefs of the Baptists 100%. I didn't become a Christian attending any Church or listening to any preacher, I instead read the entire New Testament in one day and decided I liked what Jesus said. Within a few days, I had become a Christian.

Let's go racing boys !
I am a church Of God by choice, Even though I was raised Baptist. I am a fundamentalist and believe in the absolute. I believe the Bible is God inspired.

If I can help anyone they are welcome to email me and I will talk with them or pray with them. But I will not try to push my religious beliefs on anyone. I love to have a discussion on different beliefs, but do not like to argue. I want us to reason together and respect each other.

Wishing you Joy and peace Charity

Um, look under my name and there you have it. Were you wanting just a comparison of numbers or an actual logging of people's beliefs? If the latter, you may have wanted it open so that everyone would be listed under their choice. I realize too late for that now, but oh well.
