Is this meant to be a koan?
Some species of fish are more highly derived than other species of fish. But in general, fish are no nearer to the beginning of the evolutionary process than we are.

Well, no arguments/debates on the score.
Read the following and more at: http://www.geocities.com/CapeCanaver...948/gould.html (Only one member of our chordate phylum, the genus Pikaia, has been found among these earliest fossils. This small and simple swimming creature, showing its allegiance to us by possessing a notochord, or dorsal stiffening rod, is among the rarest fossils of the Burgess Shale, our best preserved Cambrian fauna.) (2) If a small and unpromising group of lobe-finned fishes had not evolved fin bones with a strong central axis capable of bearing weight on land, then vertebrates might never have become terrestrial. Also similar views are found in some religious books where it mentions that fishes to plant life to insects, birds, beasts and finally humans evolve. Whatever be the actual truth; is not necessary in the SUCHNESS of things. Love & rgds |

zenzero, you fell into the trap. There is no such thing as nothing. Sunyata is emptiness, which is a different kettle of fish.

Friend,
Koan All differences are created by the mind. Being in this life in India the essence of sunyata is known but the same when translated in english nothing seemed closest but if a better alternative exists then please help in understanding it. Love & rgds |

Friend Koan,
Maybe it should be called NOTHINGNESS or WU - CHI. Whatever one calls it in that state The rivers are rivers and mountains are mountains. Or does the mind find a trap there too? Love & rgds |
