Sadly Conor, I wish I could say that I was impressed but I was not. I watched the first EweTube video and detect nothing profound in his thinking. He actually has several points quite wrong, imho, that is. I'll be perfectly honest, at one point he asks the audience "who here has managed to make their experience continuous" or something to that effect. I raised my hand... and the video froze for a few seconds at that precise moment. Intenet congestion? Oh for sure, but curious timing, nonetheless. I did get a good chuckle over that.
One point I utterly reject is his stance on our "changeless nature". To be honest, decades ago, I would have agreed with him, but that perspective is not my current perspective. I had to work past that perspective and through it to see things as I do in my current now. Immutability is perhaps one of the greatest illusions of all and it takes some doing to get past it, no pun intended.

Wrong question
If u like somthing, go do it finsih it. Asking itself means your are having a mind. Mind itself has no place in Zen meditation. So, drop the mind and come back. Love & rgds |

'What' is it, and 'who' is it that 'sees' them both together?

friend ben d,
you are right. wrong use of words. What was trying to get across is that conciousness pervades both the ends or dualities which is not seeing in the way we understand. When the pendulum is in the centre it is in a balance from where both the ends are there at the same time not thereand so this balance position pervades the end positions. Love & Rgds |

Friends,
Coming back to Adyashanti, Some of the responses here talked about Adyashanti as a person and his marketing techniques. When we are on the path we should avaoid personalities meaning to state that there is goodness and badness in every person till the individual achievees nirvana but for others who are looking for the good qualities which the other person has more there is no fault to stand below and drink the water flowing down that tap. When one's thrist is met he can move along to find taps which can fulfill his next thirst. So, instead of the person one needs to know or feel his vibrations; if it matches ours and we are comfortable one can surely go ahead as one does not lose anything. Neither money, nor time because we are born empty handed and life is timeless; we are always in between, somewhere till we too achieve nirvana, we keep coming and always remain in between. This way if we keep collecting honey from different flowers and not look at those thorns around those flowers, our job will be done. Some are against taking money by enlightened people feeling that its wrong but we can also understand that to run even a website one needs money and it has to be earned. If that person takes money and then gets attached to the wealth becomes his karma for which he will have to do something not the giver of that money. love & rgds |
