Smile me, my dog, my cat, my fish and I

My name is Alexander and I turned 42 last year in August.

Hobbies: I like fishing in my pond. Kayaking in the river behind my property. I also like canoeing in the river near town. I make up songs in my head, which isn't really a hobby, but it's fun.

What I hope to find at RF.com? Stimulating conversation and enlightenment. That's on the serious side though. I want to have fun and meet new people. I want what you can't have on IRC and I seem to have found it here. I like the arcade and journal features here. I want to see this web forum grow and that's why I became a Supporter today.

My dog? Her name is Beauty. She's 3 years old. She's an English Setter.

I live in the mountains of Pennsylvania about 50 miles from the nearest town.

It snows every day here in the winter. I have a window right across from this computer terminal. My dog likes to look out at the woods in my backyard. We go for walks around the pond and down to the river when we're looking for wildlife. Sometimes we come across the occasional pheasant. Sometimes we see finches, and doves, and other birds. We came across some bunny rabbits the other day and a fox.

My dog plays with things like a cat. I caught her playing with sone siding that was left over from french door installation I had on my house. Beauty was tossing this 6 foot long piece of siding up in the air like she does with twist ties. When she was young she used to watch and play with my cat. His name is Tiger. Beauty also loves cat food more than dog food which makes it difficult for me to keep feeding the cat when his food gets gobbled up by some 35 pound dog! The other day I found Tiger eating the dog food in her dish. Tiger even 'growled' at Beauty. I never knew that cats could do that until that day.

Oh, and I have a goldfish and I don't have a name for it because it's a fish.

I updated my rf.com website to include a picture I took off of my front porch before the winter if anyone is interested in seeing this beautiful Pennsylvania countryside.

Hehee, well, don't feel bad! I still haven't 'introduced' myself, in terms of starting a thread in this area!

I'm glad that you seem to be allowing yourself to open up and letting us get to know more of you! It's something I was hoping for.
