Maybe there's a simple explanation.
Albert Einstein believed in God. He reasoned that something must be responsible for starting the Big Bang and that might have been God. Albert was right about so much else that he might have been right about that too. Anyway, his thinking makes sense to me.
I'm an old guy who is a husband, father , grandfather, and friend. I was a scientist and engineer, now I'm mostly a thinker and a searcher. I'm really curious about you since I'm hoping that there is some wisdom here that I can use.

Amazing! I've already found out something about myself here. It seems that I am closer to being a Deist than anything else.
Incidentally, I am not seeking to change anyone else's mind. I'm just trying to discover what's in mine.

Namaste and welcome.
Everything material in this universe is limited by time and has a life span...it doesn't last forever...it has a beginning and an end. This universe came from something and to me it had to be an entity that exists outside of time...from something that doesn't have a beginning or an end. In fact, it can also be said that time was created by this entity. So in this sense I kind of agree with Einstein.
