As-salamo alaykum wa-rahmatu Allah wa-barakaatu.

I am glad to have found this forum.

I originally come from a Chinese Protestant family. About a year ago, after some searching, I reverted to Islam. I my religious influence comes from Islamic scholars such as Al-Ghazali Imam Bukhari, but also from Western sources, especially those of the Traditionalist School such as Rene Guenon and Julius Evola. I have also studied other religions; since 2004, I have read over 100 books on Christianity, Buddhism and Islam, and want to continue to learn more through discussion with other people.

I also run a small blog, where I write on religion (among other things). You are invited to come over and leave some comments: Between Asgard and the Western Paradise

Hyperborean is an interesting nick, Blavatsky Root races etc. I recall in a Ptolemic map that was in the front of my version of Tacitus, it called the western part of the Atlantic (as we call it) Ocean, Oceanus Hyperboreas...
