I don't disagree with your assesment, in fact I think your right on target, and that is coming from a Christian. I also accept evolution too. And that is what is great about RF, sweetsstuff2007. I think that you will find many open-minded people here and many great intellects and varying points of view on many different issues. I am happy that I found RF and I look forward to seeing some of your thoughts and ideas. Welcome.

Do you believed our souls existed before this life?

I believe that some of our souls existed. I believe that either energy or God, maybe, creates a soul. Some of course are new souls being born for the first time, but I believe that most are older souls that have moved on and back again many times. I believe that they can choose if they want to come back, and if they come back, what kind of a life they want to live. I believe that a souls life here in these bodies is just a learning exercise to experience every human feeling and situation that they can so that their souls can reach a higher state of being in the afterlife. I am sure that some souls are very old and have lived a hundred times. I have came to believe some of these things through books or things I have heard about and personal experience.

Hey there. New myself. This might surprise you but I have a Very similar belief system which was inspired by some of the more interesting ramblings at this blog: sdai-tech1.blogspot.com He has some funny ideas but occassionaly he drops a post on a unified energy field theory which is pretty good reading. Have a looksie some time

I would like to start out by saying, I am not really sure what my religion is. Maybe someone can help me classify it. I don't really believe in a christian concept of God. I probably believe more in evolution. I think its just silly that that an all powerful being just said Bam! and everything popped into existance. I do believe we have souls but I don't really believe much in Heaven or Hell. I believe our souls are energy that is released when we die. I believe that our souls can choose to live again (reincarnation) or that we can travel to another plane to become more enlightened.
As far as the Bible is concerned, I think most of it is REALLY silly. I mean, yeah it has some great stories, but I think that's all they are is stories. I think the concept of immaculate conception is crazy, the same with raising from the dead. I think most of the stories in the bible are overly exaggerating stories that were first told by word of mouth and then wrote down as best as could be remembered. I think at the front they should put, "Based on a true story"
I think alot of it sounds like greek mythology and every now knows greek mythology for what it really is, a very primitive religion with beliefs based on exaggerated stories. So I don't understand why most people don't see the Bible and christianity that way. In my eyes the only difference between the two is that now there is only one God versus the multitude.
So that's a little about what I believe.
Mainstream christianity has been influenced by pagan beliefs, especially Romanism, since it's origins. If you want to understand true christianity you have to research it from a Hebraic perspective and study it's Hebrew roots.
