hi all! I origionally came here because I was working on a world religions paper and found it to be so helpful I just wanted to join! I generally get along with everyone, but I can be assertive when the occasion seems to demand it. I love the resource of so many honest views and the clarification of belief. I hope that I can be a resource to others as well. I look forward to speaking with many of you in the time to come.![]() My religious background: I am a Baptist raised in the DC area and just graduating from a Catholic university. I have had three formal religion classes, two of them world religions, one of them religions in America. I grew up in a very diverse area and have had a lot of personal contact with many religions. It is hard to make me angry. I have and will never take offense when someone tries to convert me- I think it shows compassion if someone cares about me enough to go out of their comfort zone to tell me if they think I'm going to Hell and how to avoid it. I think it's sweet, however, it doesn't mean that I'll convert. I love exposure to diverse ideas mainly because the more solutions offered, the more likely you'll find the right one... And the more you know about one person, the more you'll be able to understand about yourself and everybody else. I can be highly philosophical and generally very friendly. Thank you for your time reading this ![]() |
