While this is the Welcoming forum, and I wouldn't want post off topic, I'm particularly interested in your views on prophecy. Not the "looking into the future" prophecy, but communing with God. You see, I personally believe that everyone has the ability to connect with the Divine, and perhaps even communicate with that entity that many call God - yet I have no illusions about admitting it is an imperfect communication. We're like dogs trying to understand the vastness of a mainframe computer in comparison to God, so anything written about God is inherently inaccurate. That's regardless of whether we're talking about the Christian Bible or Neale Donald Walsch's "Conversations with God". So the fact that you claim to have written a divinely inspired text greatly interests me. You can expect me to tease your brain with some tough questions... In any case, welcome to the forums. I look forward to debating with you. |

Of course anyone may communicate with God. Many people that I speak with have no desire to know about God, they simply want to point out why they believe God does not exist, or they want to prove that I have never communicated with God. God had made it quite clear to me(Numerous times) that I am nobody "special", as such I do not see myself as greater or lesser then you.(Or anyone else) My task is to provide the Truth, not convince anyone that it is the Truth. Imagine if you will trying to convince the world that it was not flat, but round. Regardless how much you try to explain to people that it was indeed round, they would still argue that it was flat, and if you sailed off the edge, you would die a horrible death. Today we laugh at this ignorance as indeed the earth is round, however this points out that ignorance is one of mankind's greatest foes. Instead of dogs trying to understand a computer, how about mankind trying to understand a computer?(Although quite a few years ago) It is only through the desire for knowledge and wisdom that eventually mankind did understand/invent computers. It is only through the desire for knowledge and wisdom that mankind will understand God. God has given us many tools to study, in His Words.(Books) It is just ignorant that some take these Words and try to twist them to form something that man desires, and not what God had intended. |

This thread seems a little self-indulgent to me. Just my thought.

Does God send people to hell
for imagining that they might be some "authority" on "his" behalf? Daring to Globaly speak "what is true" about "him"? (beyond their own limited experience/perspective of *him(her/them)) or perhaps... is it our very ability to co-create our own personal understandings of God/the Living Universe/mythology/personal symbolism(s)/awakened allegory that is the actual meaning of the Great Mystery in and aroud each ONE of us?

Imagination is not a sin, it is the thought that tempts, it is a sin when the person gives into the temptation.(If the tempted thought is in itself a sin) "Daring to globaly speak what is true about Him" Indeed not, if you know the Truth speak it! It is an actual sin to hide the Truth, especially when it concerns matters of God. Is it our very ability to co-create... Since you have no power to co-create on God's level, this is an invalid question. P.S. I know you are taking cheap shots at me here, however I believe it is done in ignorance,(Not with malice) as you have judged me before I have said anything about God. You are crying foul before any action has been taken, it would however be more prudent to judge an event only after the event happens. |
