Hi all!
I'm new here and writing a special work about jedism in school, I've read a lot about the stuff and such but I could also use some help from someone who actually believe or practice it or simply any opinions about if it should be considered a proper religion and such etc. How I see it depends on which of the seemingly endless websites considering the matter that I visit, some makes sense other seem to pull it a bit too far believing in things I can't see as anything else than preposterous. Of course anyone out there is welcome to try and convince me that there's actually such a thing as a planet called coruscant far out there in space and that upon it was born the very first of the jedi knights who's ledgacy still remains today... hopefully I don't offend someone but in case I do... sorry... thank you for any responses |

Welcome!
Like any religion, the paradigm that the individual works in doesn't need to be physically real (then, what is defined as being "physically real"?) for it to have power and influence.

Hello there! Welcome to the forums, I hope you enjoy yourself.
Jediism is nothing but a mix of Chinese, Japanese, and European religious/philosophical/mythological paradigms that George Lucas decided to call upon. It is not a religion, and should not be considered as such. The movies and books do have very good philosophical lessons within them that can be very helpful in bringing wisdom to the table. But all of the wisdom has already been said a million times, and better by previous sages before Yoda. That's my opinion. I'm not sure if there are any "jedis" here that can support there cause. But I hope you find what your searching for.

The Jedi "religion" is actually more of a way of life, based upon a few Asian and European philosophies. The best way I could describe a Jedi in a very brief manner would be a Knight who studies Tao. Of course their is more to it, but that is it in a nutshell.
If you would like, I can email you a text file/ebook about Jediism.

Now that would be generous indeed Mr Wolf, please do ^^
While you're at it could you be so kind and define "religion darkness"? |
