This is a bit weird, I used to vaguely know a guy with the same name as you. Unless you're from the SW Pennsylvania area I guess it's just a weird coincidence.

That's kinda funny, just a little while ago when I was getting my financial aid and student loans for school, they had me fax a copy of my id and ss card because there was someone else with the same name, same age, and almost the same exact ss number as me (just one number off) applying for the same loans. Weird.

I most certainly do believe in "Something" and I do pray. I've just don't really know who or what I'm praying to as of yet. And I don't feel the love that God has for us and that's really what I'm looking for. As far as a Church goes. I'm really liking what I've read so far about Unitarian Universalism. I'm very liberal minded and I have great difficulty believing that the Bible (as it was written and collected by man) could be infallible. I also don't like it when someone says that people of another religion are "damned" because Christ is the only way to God. I also have many gay and lesbian friends and I believe strongly that homosexuality is not something that must be "overcome" with prayer and counseling...I really don't think it's a choice. I like how UU's welcome all faiths and sexual preferences and how they seem to look at things as a learning experience and spiritual journey in sharing experiences from different faiths and since there's one near me, I'm thinking of attending service. However, that does not necessarily mean that I've found the right one, so if you think of another Church I may like, don't hesitate to let me know.

I can certainly see why you didn't react very well to having a faith "rammed down your throat" without understanding it; maybe you can have a good look around here, and learn a few things. You might re-assess.
