I just joined today, and this seems to be a good place.
I have been a practicing Mystic for 12 years, and I find the term "religion" to be narrow, and utterly useless once you set out on your own searching for the ultimate truth. This life has been an interesting one, and it is so sad that religious dogma has such a firm grasp on this world, and has for the past 1000 years or so. From burning people for no other reason than uneducated assumptions of devil worship, to todays suicide bombers. I, like many Americans, was forced to go to church, a move that has seemed to make most peoples spiritual evolvment go backwards, rather than fowards. I was even kicked out of my parents house when I was 16 for denouncing Christianity. I dream of the day when we are able to live our current lives at an appropriate level suited for our level of spiritual evolvement. Sort of like school. People at a lower end go to elementrary, while those at a higher end are in college, and making thier own studies and discoveries. Anyways, I'm off to look around abit. Oh, what is this "fruball" I keep seeing?

Welcome to the forums. I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay. It's sad that parents just can't accept their childrens' choices and love them the way they are. You've moved on well. And I really like your avatar.

Welcome!
Any particular form of mysticism you enjoy? Oh, and frubals are kind of like karma. Other members give them out if they like your post.

Frubals are like stars when you were at school - if someone likes what you have said they can give your post frubals. Its a funny little symbol at the top right hand of the post. When you want to give frubals - If you click on it and then you can write a message and put your name (otherwise they are anonymous). Theres a certain amount you can give etc etc - but havent quite figured that out myself - it will tell you if you can frubal someone because of such and such etc. To view who has fruballed you, click on CP (control panal) and it will give you a link to the post and if they have left one a message and the users name..... ![]() |
