No, it really didn't. I know my family was only trying to get me to say I'm a christian again for two reasons. First, because they kinda wanted to save me from hell on the off-chance there is one. Second, they believe that religion is an inherited trait. My sister and I heard a lot of "BUT EVERYONE IN OUR FAMILY IS LUTHERAN!!" when we first made it clear to our parents. However, to me (and her to, but you don't know her, doesn't matter. Haha.) religion is extremely personal. I don't think you should allow anyone to sway your view of religion unless you want them to and they're using good reasoning/explaining the religion well. I intend to allow my children the same opportunity. Never would I expect or force them to be an atheist. I would also never mock them for their personal religious choice. If they want to be Catholic, I'd be glad to drop them off at mass. I also don't really think I was doing it to "spite" them or to be rebellious, which is kinda the connotation that question gives off. I just honestly, sincerely do not believe in God and no one, but me, can change that belief.
