This is by far the best forum of its type that I have come across, and I look forward to many interesting discussions with other RF members. I am a 53 year old male technical writer from England, interested in music, art, photography, and the origins of everything. I am an atheist, but am willing to be convinced that there is a greater being. Oh, does that mean I am actually agnostic?

Sounds you're an atheist unless and until you're presented with convincing evidence of theism. I'm prepared to believe the sun rises in the West if I'm presented with convincing evidence to that effect, but I don't expect that to happen.

Some might say you shouldn't need to be convinced there's a God, just look in the mirror. He's right there.

If you're here to be convinced, forget it. RF is not the place to gather information for life-altering decisions. Atheist, agnostic...there's only a difference if you think there is.
