What made you become an Atheist again?
lol. Ants don't bother me, but roaches.....ugh! I'm 6 feet tall, 200 pounds; but I scream like a little girl when I see a roach.

I became an atheist again when I decided to look at the world with an unbiased view. I saw a world that can be explained through science, not necessarily "God". I then did extensive research about religion in general. I began to see the real purposes of religion...to give people answers, hope, direction, etc. Also, I have never felt a relationship with a supernatural being (even when I was a practicing Christian)......which Christians claim is the key to being a Christian.

Ha ha, roaches don't bother me for the most part.... ants???? Learning to respect them and know that they have there place.... but they are the only thing that still creeps me out when I even think about them! That and metal rubbing against metal- but that is more the chills

You say the purpose of religion- " to give people answers, hope, direction, etc.."
Is that not what science also strives to do???? Does it not give answers, hope, direction, etc...????????? What then is the differnce?

Science gives answers...but that's about it.

Fulva seems to think life is worthless without "God" and the expectation of an after life. While I don't believe humans are worthless, I also don't believe we are any more significant than dogs, horses, wasps, ants , snakes, etc. Earth is a nice place to live, but we don't have much time to enjoy it....so get out there and enjoy life!

And for every answer it gives, it raises more questions. That's what make it interesting.

I look forward to seeing you in some debates knight- at least you bring stuff to back you up when you speak.... others seem not so much to do so!

BOOKO! They say knowledge is like a balloon. The surface being what you don't know and the inside being what you do. Once you start to blow it up with what you know- the more surface the outside has, thus the more questions you have! WHERE DOES IT END?????? (is that not all what we are trying to figure out-and perhaps why we are here)

ANTS!!!!!!! Seriously, they do creep me out!

Very interesting, indeed.

But don't get me wrong, I am not necessarily looking for answers through science. Just like Christians, I don't need any 'proof' to strengthen my beliefs. I have created my beliefs based mainly on reason and rational thinking.

edit: When I say "beliefs", I really mean "lack of beliefs" (e.g. I DON'T believe in "Heaven", I DON'T believe in "Hell", I DON'T believe in "God", etc.)
