Greetings
I found out about this site a few months ago and thought I would join and forgot about it. Then today, after a particularly frustrating interchange on the message board where I have been posting for the last year, remembered this place.
I myself am about 64 years old, computer type from the old days (before the PC, back when computers were referred to as "Iron") and a long term student of comparative religion and philosophy. I don't belong to any one organized religion, although I consider myself to be more of a Buddhist than anything else. I am primarily interested in Gnosticism and Ancient Egyptian Religion, and have been tinkering with what I consider to be the Grand Unified Spiritual Totality theory, otherwise known as "GUST". So you might consider that to be a Mighty Wind at best, and a totally empty void on the other hand. My personal handle is "Sandhill" and is a pun based on the Primeval Mound of the Universe arising out of the Holy Mother Nile. I see that 4500 people have joined here, so hopefully I will find a crevice and be able to crawl into and out of it and have some fun, without getting too charbroiled in the inevitable flame wars that erupt when Gnostics show up.
