Default My Story/Introduction
Hello, My name is Jeff and I live in the small town of Brigham City, Utah. I was raised as a Mormon for the first part of my life but gradually I discover the vast amounts of archeological and historical evidence against Mormonism and my political / philosophical beliefs became more and more contrasted to the official views of the LDS Church. I started to argue with my seminary teachers and became concerned with what the were telling my classmates (specifically the advice they gave to the young girls). I tentatively approach my father about the archaeological evidence only to discover to my relief that he had stumbled upon this a few years early and was now studying Christianity. Then about a year after I talked with my dad my oldest sister started to talk with me about her discovery of the evidence against Mormonism. Now my father is a non-denominational Christian as is my sister. I however rejected Christianity for reason I’d rather not explain as this is simply my introduction post and am more or less “in the market” still trying to figure out exactly what it is I believe. What I Do believe resembles Deism but not exactly, to simplify the matter when people ask me what my religious beliefs are I just claim to be a Deist, (close enough). I look forward to learning about other religious beliefs and contributing to this site.

You certainly sound as if you have some belief issues to resolve, and I look very much forward to seeing your posts.

I seem to be a 'displaced' person at the moment; I started here with beliefs that I realized were not what Im was comfortable with, decided I was a Christian, but now prefer to call myself a 'follower of Christ' - as with you for reasons that are not pertinent to this post.

I hope you find some help in your quest, or at least some useful Ideas whilst you are with us.
I find some non denominatials pretty hard to understand, though they are usually very convinced Christians.
I prefer to think about my beliefs not swallow them whole.
