Hey I am new to the forums. I just wanted to say hello and let everyone know about me. I am an 18 year old male. I am in the US Navy and I just had some questions about God that I wanted to see if anyone could help with. Anyway, hello everyone.

Hi, Matt! And welcome. Hopefully you wil be able to find some answers to your questions here. I'm really interested in your background. I got my college degree in English over 30 years ago. There wasn't a degree in linguistics at that time (at least not where I went to school). If there had been, that's the direction I'd have taken. I find linguistics absolutely fascinating.

Well, I've only been in the Navy for 5 months now and I have just recently started my training in linguistics - or cryptology as it is called in the Navy. So, I don't know too much right now.

Well, I did get to choose that I wanted this job. But when I chose it I did have to take a sort of aptitude test. If I didn't pass that test then I wouldn't have qualified for this job.
