Guess who, the new guy!
Hello, my name is Bill. Hmm, that's a good start. Nice to meet all of you swell people.
Religious affiliation: Christian, though many would disagree... Reason: I've seen repeated evidence that points to the divine inspiration of the scriptures. Please note in future discussions that this is not on an emotional level as with many who profess the Christian faith. If I can't be convinced with reason and logic, but require a big "spiritual experience", then there's something wrong. "heresy" (i.e. why they would disagree above): I believe that ALL the scriptures are fulfilled, particularly with relation to eschatology. Christians presently dwell in the Kingdom of God and we do not have to look forward to seven years of torture to fix the problem that Christ came to solve. Philosophy: Love and equality. We're all looking for truth, so why not look together? We might even have some fun on the way. Philosophical or religious inquiry should be taken seriously, but lightly. Logic: Imperfect, but I try to base my observations on evidence and proof, rather than blind faith. Loves: I love my Father in heaven, my fellow man, philosophy, the scriptures, the fine arts, and the fine ladies.  I have more respect for an educated non-Christian than an ignorant Christian. Hates: I hate hatred, willful ignorance, diregard for the truth, persecution of anyone, when people can't spell on the internet, when people base their eternal fate on something they don't understand, and you. *laugh out loud* Complaints: Everyone's insane but me!  Existance: It is probable, though not proven entirely. I might dwell in some portion of the world far removed from you all, or I might be a creation of your mind as a result of some severe psychosis. Am I a person or a manifestation of differing paths of personality, experience and logic concentrated into the persona of "Shaggy Flasko", and made real by a personal divergence of the mind? That's about it, I guess. I hope we all have a really good time. It's nice to be somewhere that I can't get banned and insulted for differing with majority rules. God bless. -Bill
