Welcome to RF. There are an incredible number of knowledgeable people here and I'm sure, if you have questions, they'll either have an answer or be able to point you in the right direction. The best place to start might be to go to each of the individual religions and read what they're about. Then post any concerns or questions you have.

I felt a surge of loneliness when I read:-
"this is the last place i thought i would find myself. i feel stranded "

I hope you will not feel stranded here; we are quite a 'family' - although we do have the odd disagreement. After all this is a forum. We do have people who represent a diversity of Faiths, and I hope you will soon 'feel at home'.

i have felt a personal god inside of me but i fear to share that because im not here to be ridiculed, just trying to learn. find common ground with anyone.
i'm a lucky guy. i cant complain. i have what every man wants but i'm missing a part of me that i feel is very important to make me complete.

We all have God inside of us. The fact that you have recognized it, is half the battle. I have not been able to find any Religion that fits me. I have studied many religions and have found God's truth among everyone of them. I came to the conclusion that God is way too big for any one religion.
