Default Hello, I'm me...and I need some advice so we'll start here.

Hello all! I will take the time to introduce myself fully another time but I am going to post another Thread regarding an issue I have first! It is a pressing matter...

More later.

Smile Thank you all

Ok...here is a bit of an introduction.

I am soon to be (June 5) a 39 yo mom in the Nashville area of TN. I am Pagan. I used to be a member of an Eclectic Wiccan Coven in Murfreesboro, TN. I discovered it was much like a church where there is backbiting, cliques, and other unpleasantries (not that all churches are like that mind you).

Paganism is such a touchy subject and my religion or belief system is something I don't talk about much because of that.

I do consider myself a witch but...I am not really magickally active. What I mean is...I don't go around casting spells all the time. I do read runes for my own use. I believe in energy in everything. I believe magick is really using energy to accomplish goals. I believe in karma and the law of three. It is my personal oath to never use magick to interfere in anyone's life. I don't even read runes to poke into someone's life without their permission or request. I made a promise to my adult son not to read on him without his knowledge because I am incredibly accurate and he wants his privacy. I keep my word.

I believe in many Gods and Goddesses. I believe there is a path for everyone and it is their responsibility and right to find and follow it. I do not go around wearing pentacles simply because I choose not to. My boyfriend's daughter did wear one to our 1st Tae Kwon Do class, which I know was noticed by our instructors wife. Don't know if this is why he feels I need to be convicted. (sorry for the reference to another post)

Basically, I don't impose my belief on anyone. All those close to me know I am Pagan, even at work. I work in a very liberal atmosphere.

Hmmm...what else? Ask, I guess.

Blessed Be (I hardly ever say that...been a long time since I talked about my beliefs online...hehe )

Welcome and thank you for such a detailed introduction! I have never been part of a coven but it is a pity you have had such a poor experience with one. I think I'm just too shy to take part in a religious group like that, whether it be a coven or a church etc.

How long have you been with your present belief system and how were you introduced to paganism in the first place?

Thanks for taking the time to introduce yourself properly.
Blessed Be right back atcha.

Glad ya liked it!

How long I've believed this way I'm not sure. I think in some way I always did. I first got interested in Wicca when I was in a low period in my life. I stumbled across a book of spells I think my son had laying around about 5 years ago. It sparked my interest and I hit the computer in search of knowledge. Growing up as a Jehovah's Witness had taught me that pagans...well...they were pagan! They were not us and not to be associated with or risk being booted from the church (they don't call it a church). I was pretty angry at them still over a decade later. (not now...just don't agree with them) Anyway, magick was fascinating to me and I kept learning. When I moved to TN, I again stumbled. This time I fell into a coven. I think I learned what I could there and now I'm on my own. Or more like...my family and my boyfriend's family are all believing on our own together...make sense?

Amy
