you got a right
to fight for paganism even though i personally dont agree with it i would not be a loving brother of Yahweh to tell you that you can not search for his truth in your own way |

This is just my opinion but I've found that being questioned in your religioun should be a positive thing. Bad press makes us answere tough questions. Therefor I think that in answering tough questions only helps us become more thoughtfull about who we are and why we do what we do

Maybe it's just me but people seem to lazy to try to edcuate themselves about something like Wicca. I guess they are the same people who get an a assigement in school & instead of reading the book they go & see the movie!

To be honest it doesn't bother me that much. There are a variety of movies out there and it's all just for entertainment. Look at "Practical Magic". That movie has lovable and funny characters that are witches (gotta love the aunts...they rock) and the non-witches in town are painted as intolerant and fearful. The "Wizard of Oz" has both good and bad witches. Broadway has "Wicked: the Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West" which is based on the book of the same name that explains that the "wicked witch" isn't wicked after all. Then there's "The Covenant", AWESOME movie. And let's not forget the tv series "Charmed" and the three great witchy sisters there.
One movie or another doesn't seal the fate of the perception of a religion. Hell, if our actual religion was truly depicted in these movies it might actually mean something. But as most movies are just using the magic spin of witchcraft and such it really has nothing to do with religious beliefs anyway. If people can't seperate Hollywood special effects and dramatization from reality then that's their own stupidity to deal with. |

well, to tell you the truth i am kind of...mad...after awhile, at first its just annoying, but whenever i see the word "necromancer" mentioned in any form of multimedia, it is often followed by a description of how they are the most evil, vile, inhuman things on this earth. i have yet to see anything that passes us off for what we really are, so whenever someone finds out i am a necromancer, they instantly think back to everything that they have heard, in an instant i have become an abomination in their eyes. so after a year and a half of this i do get rather angry. how would you like it when people deliberately avoid you, or go out of their way to hassle you, just because some author or movie director thought it would be a good add on to the story?

I don't know if anyone else found this but by the end of the original, I was cheering on the pagans...

Well , your avie does wear the " Black Robes of Nuitari ". Actually I like it . Raistlin was my favorite character in the Dragonlance series ... But if Pagans think they get bad press , they should take a look around them . First Nation People for excample . Waves of bloodthristy animals that rip your hair off and leave you for dead .... Well , that is how most history books and movies protray them . So the way I see it , it is just a part of a larger problem .
