Some spells for a beginner. (gnostic, pray, prayer, Wicca)

I suppose you guys have been asked this many times before,but can you recommend some good spells for a beginner.
Preferably ones that have a more immediate and visible effect at first,because of course being mew to this,and having never seen anything like spells myself,I'm a little skepitical.

The best thing to do is to find a book that teaches you how to create your own. Because, until you learn how they work and how to make one for yourself, no spell written by someone else will be nearly as effective.
If you have to use one that's already written for you, most Wicca 101 books have spells in them you can try.

Can I ask what kind of spells you want to do?

I would also like to add that magic is not a panacea, and most of the time the effects are not immediately visible. It isn't like you cast a spell and *poof* you have what you asked for. You actually have to work towards your goal too. If you want your prayers answered, you have to get off your knees.

the ones with the most drastic and immediate effect are sometimes more dangerous, however i do have some extremly simple, no harm spells if you wish, from my days when i dabbled in wicca

I didn't really want anything drastic,what I meant by immediate was something like making a pen hover(if that's possible.

What i really want is to see is that there is indeed something outside the material world.

That was just an example. I just wanted something that I could see work very obviously.

Not too be insulting, but you are going about this in a wrong manner. While having an open mind is good, thinking thier are instant happening, very visible spells, and to use them as a test, is generally not good, and considered an insult by some spirits. The process, and visibility of the results are the same from the basic candle to spells, all the way up to creating an eregore.
And a ritual, or spell, is very similiar to a prayer.

I can show you a video of myself shoving a coin into a sealed coke can. Or have someone write something on a piece of paper, burn the paper, and without me ever seeing it, I can write whatever was on the paper from the ashes. I can also levitate a couple inches off the ground. And even floating a pen are all things done by illusion, or video editing. Thier simple are no spells for instant fireballs, lighting bolts, physical levitation, or anything else that is portrayed by the media.
