Greetings to Autumn. The changing rich colors, the cool breezes, the rains. The warmth of fires and the smell of burning leaves.

Mother becomes Crone, Father prepares for death and re-birth.

Give thanks for your blessings this year on this day of thanks-giving and reflection.

Partake of the wine and the harvest of this past year and revel in the joy they bring to you and all life.

Day of balance between light and dark as dark starts to over take light in the coming days. I greet the slowing of the time and shorter days. I greet the growing night and the cool evenings preceding it.

Greetings to Autumn.

That was beautiful, Draka!

I've gone out into the cornfields behind the house (our farmer landlord doesn't mind) and picked some corn (after asking the permission of the plant), and then put it on my altar. I don't think it would count as 'harvesting', but I went out and got some apples, too.

I did my ritual last night... I love this season!

That is another thing we have in common - strange, since so many love the summer. I actually believe I suffer from 'SAD' - but in a way that is diametrically opposed to the normal. Nice to know I am not the only one.............

I'm the same way. I always seem to suffer through summer and then my energy levels totally pick up in Autumn and peak in the winter. I simply love everything about the fall and winter, from the fashion, to the holidays, to the weather. The only days I enjoy in the summer are my Birthday and Independance Day. I do love some things about summer, such as Sailing and going to the beach, but most of the time, it's just hot and miserable.

I don't like the summer either. Very hot, and short nights.
I love autumn and winter. Means I can start wearing my full ritual outfit again. Too warm to wear during the summer, and later part of spring. I am going to welcome autumn tonight.
The only thing I don't like, are the winter road conditions. But theres not snow and ice on the road the whole time.
