ive never tried it. but i know alot about it because my gf happened to be wiccan before she broke up with me, and i had a lot of frends who were wiccans. i really never liked wicca that much though, i mean the beliefs any way. they seemed to out there and un-realistic.

raised by a loose christian family, but seriously pushed away by the dogmas in quite a few churches. a friend of mine was pagan born, she had a pagan boyfriend, and introduced me to it. i liked it, but and was interested in the traditions and the theistic side, as well as the occult side.

My parents were both Catholic. I went to church with them on many occasions but like others have said, It just didn't fit in with what I believe. I did not agree with many of the concepts of the Bible. I spent a lot of time looking into many different beliefs and practices. I finally settled on taoism until about seven or eight years ago which is when I started looking into Wicca and the rest is history.

I was raised in a Christian family, but I could never really get into Christianity. I tried my best to believe like they did, but it just didn't happen. I had always been interested in the tarot and the different gods and goddesses, but had never really taken an active stance on it all. That is, until I met my friend Gina. I was 14 and she was active in Wicca. That was when I first took an interest in it. My beliefs just sort of fit with it all. Over the years, I researched more and more and realized that Wicca was where I belonged.

I've noticed that two of you have mentioned a god and goddess (as opposed to gods and goddesses). Is this belief common to all Wiccans or are most of you more pantheistic?

Most Wiccans (many Pagans as well, myself included) worship a main Goddess and God. The Mother Goddess and her Consort, but they also worship entire Pantheons of other Gods and Goddesses.. Hope that helps.
