channeling (ritual, Kingdom, evolution, hell, church)

Hello everyone . I went to some shop thing last summer. I think it had something to do with wicca (not sure, so please excuse my ignorance). Anyway, there was some guy there that was talking about how he knew someone who could heal with channeling. I was with a friend who said that she knew someone who could do it too. This friend of mine said that their friend could use it to cure head aches and this guy at the shop said that the person he knew used it to help get rid of cancer. Does anyone here know what I'm talking about and does anyone here know anything about it? I just found it interesting. I sort of did some googling after I heard about it, but I don't remember actually finding anything.

If its channeling energy to heal, there are several methods. The one I am a practitioner of is Reiki. Another is Chi-Gong. I think thats whats its called, I might be wrong. There are many forms of channeling energy to heal. Another technique, allthough not that popular, is for the practitioner to send his own energy to the reciever. It does work, but its really not the best in my opinion, since you have to give away your own energy, which will leave you feeling drained.

All I know is that it involved a crystal. Is it hard to learn? Is it something that only certain people can learn?

I think anyone can learn -if I did! Seriously, the crystal would be an 'amplifier' - a focus for centering energies.

Luke Wolf's Reiki is something I do as well, but I am loath to do it for anything more than temporary relief - you can actually use it on yourself; but to my mind, masking symptoms is a 'dangerous alley' - I would be very weary of anyone claiming to cure Cancer.

Reiki is one of the best as far as i am concerned; it has the advantage of healing the healer at the same time as the 'patient?' - because the flow of energy has to flow through the healer, in order to go through the 'Patient'.

You might like to look at :- http://www.reiki-evolution.co.uk/ , because what I am telling you may sound confusing, if you don't understand the background. As I said though, I would never claim to 'Cure' - IMO that is best left to Medics - especially with anything major.

The Cristian Church also is involved in healing. The Curch of England (anglo Catholics) and Roman Catholics Hold services of healing. (Spiritual and Bodily)
During all Communion services we pray for the sick and troubled and their families by name. not just in a general way. We also have a regular prayer list for people to add names and for us to pray for.

Yeah Terrywoodenpic I know of and have experienced the power of prayer; I am Christian. I'm just interested in learning a little more about channeling.

ANYONE can learn it. Unlike many hollywood and media stories, you don't have to born under special circumstances, have special parents, or just be born with it. Even the Pope can learn if he opened his mind.
Crystal healing is an easy one to learn. You just have to know which crystals do what. Amythist is a popular crystal for healing. Also, crystal healing works great with other forms of healing.
My opinion is, healing with crystals isn't working with any spiritual enitities, unless you envoke them. The crystals are from the earth, and natural, thus have thier own natural properties.

I have had many experieneces with different healings. Chi Gong, Reiki, Falun Gong, Hands of Light, etc... I would say be wary of those that claim to cure cancer as well. I am also trying to understand reiki better. This coming from a martial artist, and a Vigil, where it takes atleast 10-15 years to become a master. And yet, it takes only like 3-4 years at most to become a reiki master. I know why it doesn't take long, because of the attunements and all. But it still seems to short to me. And wierd that a japanese form of healing is based on indian concepts, and not japanese concepts. But I have felt the energy of reiki masters, and no doubt, it's there. But as well, insurmountable energy is in new born babies as well.

Ive heard of some people becoming Reiki Masters in ONE weekend. That is just to fast in my opinion. You don't have time to grow and nurture your new gift. My Reiki Master will not move a student on to the next level for at least 6 months.

From what Ive been told, thier are two main types of Reiki, Traditional Japanese Reiki (or TJR), and Ussui (bad spelling). When the first group of TJR masters came to America, the came to a part that had a large population of Hindus. I cant recall excatly how the story goes, but the TJR calls the chakras something else, and when the TJR became Ussui, they changed the name of the energy fields to chakra so the Hindus could relate to Reiki easier. Ill have to get my Reiki book out and look up the exact story.
