Sorry, but the fact that there are no threads in here is saddening.
Anyway, I love Swami Vivekananda. I currently only own Pathways to Joy and am wondering what book about him I should get next. Is there a completed works out there? |

I'm so sorry, but I don't know about books on Swamiji. I understand how you must feel saddened because of the lack of threads here. Not too long ago, the Hinduism forum was dormant but it's slowly picking up...so I know how you feel.
However, I came across a site about books by or on Swami Vivekananda: http://www.vivekananda.org/books.asp Sorry that I couldn't be of more help.

We need to find some issues we can furiously disagree on, to draw the Abrahamic crowd into the affray.

I was hoping you could help me. I only have a few questions about prayer, beliefs on formal doctrine, personal understanding of doctrine, your opinions and experiences with hinduism. Would you be willing to help me? If so I would greatly appreciate this it is for a research paper for my world religion class.
Thanks for taking the time to read. Mike ![]() |

That is perfectly all right, but do not surrender the independence to your thought to him. I love Sankaracharya but reserve the right to differ with him and actually, differ with him on many things. 'Satyan nasti parama padam' (There is nothing higher than truth), that is what Lord Rama said in Valmiki's Ramayana. Remember Buddha's Kalama Sutta.
