I play the sax! Well, to be honest I haven't played in years, but I use to. That's awesome! I'll check out your music sometime I have a little more time online.

I played all through school and my first year of college. Didn't touch it for a long time, then picked it up a couple of years ago to play with the guys I'm in a band with now. It's mostly like riding a bicycle - comes back pretty quick. I still don't practice like I should, but I can play the simple lines that our music calls for.Oh, don't expect any sax on any of the music on my site or the band's site yet. We should have some band recordings that include me playing before too much longer, but for now, all the band stuff is just one of the guys solo stuff (though it is very good - he's the most talented songwriter of us all).

We had a flower communion at church today! It was the first one I'd ever been to so it was exciting. It was a beautiful ceremony, I was glad to take part in it.
I'm also excited because next week our normal services begin again so our minister will be speaking (and we're also having a water communion). When do your normal services resume?

Water Communion/Ingathering will be held next week. Our new Interim Minister will begin his time with us that week too. This will be our first male minister in ages.

*makes a cup of tea and plops down in a big, comfy chair*
I"m not sure why I'm so lethargic on Sunday afternoons. I don't want to say church wears me out, but it certainly does take a lot of energy sometimes. Getting two kids ready to go to church in the morning definitely takes a lot of energy sometimes. Anyone else feel this way? Like you just want to nap after church?

If it weren't for that though, I'd be right there with you on the Sunday naps. I think it's a cumulative effect from the rest of the week catching up to us. You finally relax just a little and WHAM, you realize how tired you are.
