It depends on what you mean by "partisanship." While many UUs are politically liberal, not all are. But we do take stands on social issues like marriage equality and racial justice. You cannot support social justice without taking a stand on social issues.

As for the differences between Baha'i and UU, I'd say the biggest difference is in our organizational structure, which is a reflection of our theology. It's my understanding that all Baha'i worship groups where ever they are in the world conform to a set of standards, whereas UU congregations maintain autonomy over themselves. And this is because the Baha'i, while open to truth from many traditions, believe in progressive revelation from an external source - a series of prophets - whereas UUs believe in ongoing revelation from an internal source - our own consciences.
