Well? I do of course mean the reimagined reboot series still airing, but if you're a fan of the original too that's cool...anyway, if so, what attracts you to the show and keeps you watching?

Great acting. Great writing. Great directing. Great editing. Great main plot. Great sub-plots.
Did I mention that it's great? ![]() |

I'm in the middle of season 2.5 and I love it. It's quality work.

Couldn't stand the original and am not fond of sci-fi so was very cautious of the re-imagined series. Was blown away after seeing a couple of episodes though. The drama is so intense. I also find it fascinating how the writers have managed to show so much that is ugly & foolish in human nature and also tend to bring the viewer round to being sympathetic with the characters.

For me it's the characters. Every time I watch an episode I'm amazed at how real and passionate they are.

I love sci-fi in general everything from the 1950's to present. Battlestar Galactica is a good show but is tends to get slow and drag on sometimes, I was really annoyed because I started watching it in the USA and they took like a 2 year break in the mean time I moved to Thailand thinking I would never see the end but we have it here the only problem is they run an entire season marathon style and it gets boring for example they showed 2 episodes back to back for like a month every day to get caught up now they are running 2 episodes at 8:00 AM Saturday and Sunday morning. I'm not sure what the current season is the the states maybe you could enlighten me. I liked the original a lot it came out when I was quite young but the effects were state of the art at the time. The original got bad when they reached Earth and the show changed to "Galactica 1980" it got very unrealistic in the sense it was unbelievable. When I watch things like this I think about the implications, what would happen if we created machines to fight our wars and do all the dirty work, if they evolved and developed real intelligence how would they judge us.
Do you know the story in the original is different the the remake? In the original the Cylons were a race of lizards like aliens that created the machines to fight and they turned on them and killed their creators off and then went to war with the Colonies. |

There is also a Pegasus prequel that is supposed to be watched between seasons 3 and 4.

I didn't know about that and I'm not sure if I've seen it because when everything is on marathon style it gets hard to keep track of. We don't have TiVo in my city which is something I really miss about home but we don't have TV commercials on cable or satellite TV so it's easy to miss something.

I saw the first season of the new series and would be interested in sitting down with the next season. The first season had an effective cliffhanger.
