Which is the better show?
The Simpsons, South Park, or Family Guy.

They all have their strong points but if you could only watch one of them which would it be.

For me it's South Park. The Simpsons writing has gotten sloppy over the last few years. Family Guy is funny but the episodes have only the thinnest plot holding together its rapid fire non-sequiturs. South Park is the most unafraid to engage in controversial topics and although they make fun of everything their attitude towards most religions has been incredibly tolerant.

Ooo! A hard decision to make!

While I enjoy "Family Guy", I feel bad for laughing at it. It doesn't feel like a pleasant experience when I find it funny- kind of like laughing at an unkind joke. "Simpsons"... Well, I just love it. I would have a hard time choosing between that and "South Park," though the latters' recent "World of Warcraft" episode made me lean toward Butters and the gang. (Whaddya mean Butters isn't the only character on "South Park"?!)

If you think South Park is "just amateur and stupid" then you don't understand South park (unless you're refering strictly to the animation style). Of the three choices, South Park is the most thought-provoking and relevant to society today.

easily simpsons. but i agree that the writing has been getting sloppier. but it wins on past merits.

south park can be the funniest thing on earth at times - like the scientology or mormon episodes - but it's second place, sorry.

family guy is rarely funny. it's a chore for me to watch a full episode.
