Notable..And Sad
Something just dawned on me..But its obvious..and very sad..
When Kattzpur satrted her "who gave you your first 3 frubals thread"....She was one of mine..and her comment was..somethign like.."you're my kind of Christian strong in your faith but "non-condemning".... Recently another member said in a PM ...Your the only Christian I "invited" because you arent judmental.. Umm...and more..comments like that...many more.. I tend to gravitate myself towards other Christians (and they are there) that arent "condemming"... Why???..Why is it a sort of "nice find" or "refresing" to find a Christian that doesnt judge??? Its sick and sad... When the name Christ makes people leary of you and guarded..we have done Him an injustice.. I am no angel..ZERO...Im nothing special. I sin..I get EDITED for impropper use of language and such...It just breaks my heart when people FLEE away from me...untill I have proven I am harmless..because I am identified as a Christian.. Christians???...What have we done to His name????? Love Dallas

I think it's because there are so many jerks out there, not only christians, but other religious people as well, who seem to think that anyone who doesn't agree with them isn't as good as they are, and are going to hell because of it. I've come into contact with a lot of people who act like they think they are better than I am because they believe in god. I like you though, and other christains as well. I've said this before, but ******** come in all religions, and also come in the form of atheists.

It's ironic. Even Christians choose not to associate with others that share their belief system, yet choose to prostelytize.
Make no mistake, every belief system has its share of jerks. It just seems as though the majority don't have an overwhelming need to convert the rest of the world to their particular point of view. You RARELY see an atheist or an agnostic going door to door, handing out literature and trying to convince others that God is unevidenced. For me, the Christians that are easily embraced are quite easy to spot. This site has an inordinately high percentage of Christians that I consider to be "good for Christianity". It also has a rotating handful that represent the other side of the equation.

Dallas, as sad as I feel when I see in-fighting within Christianity, that I can only assume that you feel that much more grief-stricken to witness it first hand.

DallasApple. Of course you're not perfect. No one is. I'm not perfect. I sin. I have the blood of innocent insects and spiders on my hands. (all life is sacred to me, but it wasn't always so...) And it is sickening when people hurt others using the name of whatever god they worship, or even worse, in the name of a god that traditionally has been peaceful for thousands of years. (arguable, I know, but at least since the time of Christ, YHWH hasn't done anything violent.) But understand that such people are inevitable. Untrained warriors will of course do horrible things to satisfy their need for blood...
I'm not saying anything helpful, am I? Well, the point is, I believe Christianity to be a beautiful religion at heart, and it is blackened by dogmatic hypocrites who often don't even understand their own religion or see the world in any other way than their old pastures taught. People like you, Dallas, give me good feelings about Christianity.
