Peace!
I believe, Besides many holy attributes, God has an attribute Al-Jabbar. It means The One Who reforms. Imbibing divine attributes at human level is helpful. The holy prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) taught a prayer which is: My Lord, forgive me and have mercy upon me and guide me and save me and reform me and provide for me and exalt me. In this prayer the words AND REFORM ME have link with divine attribute AL-JABBAR---the Reformer. Latter day Ahmadiyya reformer was told by God that those who have repented and reformed, to them i shall turn and I am Oft-returning Merciful. Only He can reform hearts Who has made them. Mere verbosity does not reform. Grace of God is needed for that. Thanks. Last edited by DawudTalut; 05-25-2008 at 07:52 AM. |
