So, the truth is not conducive to personal growth or the evolution of the human species? Do you disagree with the concept of relativism, or do you just think we should deny it, even if it is the truth?

Human understanding can never be more than realtive to the actual, but some is understanding is of a higher order than others.

And yet, still standing under. Go figure.

Relativism and egalitarianism are the greatest frauds ever perpetuated on man by man. While it is true that human understanding can never be more than relative to the actual, it is equally true that some understanding is of a higher order than others. To be content with the lower because the higher is a more difficult road and less certain is either laziness or cowardice. You decide.

That's the point, but unlike relativism, it's not fraudulent or "lazy." Neither is it a matter personal taste or a cowardly way of dealing with perplexing problems inherent in a finite existence. Go figure.

I fail to see how admitting that the way humans see things is relative is cowardly or lazy. That is how we see things, and it's not going to change. Everything we discuss is relative. Morals are relative because they are man-made. Rights are relative because they are man-made. Speed and time are relative because they are man-made. Everything is man-made because we REALize it, and therefore is always going to be relative. Call it what you will, but that's the only way we can do things.

Solipsism.

No; just grounds for uniting a reality split asunder by the idea that we are not a part of it (dualism).
