The Bible is God talking to you.
Prayer is you talking to God. |

If so, how come God doesn't have a better command of Greek?

Being that I am of the Christian faith, I certainly believe that the Bible was inspired by God. Whether if it is God "talking to me" I don't know. I sometimes get ideas in my head without even thinking about them. I say then that they may be "God inspired ideas", as well. Anyone can get God inspired ideas, even those who don't believe in God.

No. The Bible is an attempted summation of what Man thinks he knows about God.

If I believed that, I'd be immeasurably depressed. I didn't believe that even when I was a Christian. Once when somebody referred to the Bible as the Word of God, an Orthodox priest answered, "The Bible is not the Word of God. The Bible is, at best, words about God." The key words here are "at best."
Believe it or not, I still say my prayers. But I'm not talking to God, and I don't believe anybody's listening. The sound and the rhythm of the Greek language pleases me; it's relaxing and meditative, but not -- in my case -- talking to God.

Then God doesn't make very good conversation.
Not to mention all those translation errors.

In a way I agree. But I still don't trust it
. God is not limited to a book when He wants to speak. Especially not one that hundreds of people have probably had thier sticky fingers in.Yes, the bible is rather hard to get into isn't it? Maybe it was more interesting however many hundreds of years ago when it was first written. Wouldn't it be cool to travel back in time and snatch up the original stuff?! Isn't the catholic church still supposed to have it locked up somewhere?
