If we are speaking literally then God is clearly not love since both concepts contain characteristics not contained by the other. I'm inclined to agree. Love is love. God is God. It doesn't do, for me, to redefine the latter and attach supernatural signfificance to the former. I'd rather just believe in love than believe that God is love.
