Okay, well we have no point of authority on the subject then as I take the Bible as final authority as it alone has many detailed prophesies foretold that actually happenned in real history, proving the God of the Bible is the one true God, at least to me. I even believe that God is eternal; from everlasting to everlasting, as the Bible says.
Peace,
Mike

Only "nothing" can be eternal --if it's "something," it is a part of our limited time/space (i.e. we've given it a label).
The way I see it is that God was not created but always existed. The Bible says He is from everlasting...But the creation has not always existed but had a beginning when God created it. In a simple way, when God set the world to rotating on its axis and around the sun, we got our time, days, nights, (divided into hours, minutes, seconds...) years, seasons, (divided into months, weeks, etc.) So we live 'inside time' but God lives outside time. Someday we will go into 'eternity', the Bible says that many will awake, some to eternal contempt and some to eternal life. So according to my scriptures, Hell is eternal as I quoted earlier.
Thanks,
Mike

exactly! Thank you. Due to the fact that no one has ever actually seen hell, we must rely on using what psychologists call an 'hypothetical construct' in order to describe it. Discounting the testimony of the Bible (that is, relying solely on what humans have experienced), no human will ever be able to tell us conclusively what hell is. Therefore, we must rely solely on the Bible. For some people, this is okay, for others, it is not.

Thanks, but in regards to eternity,I agree, nothing in the visible is ever eternal.
Jesus actually says this, that is why I choose to trust in Him and every word he says, because Jesus is eternal and those who trust him share in that eternity
2Cr 4:18While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen [are] temporal; but the things which are not seen [are] eternal.

I agree in many ways, except that I also recognize a little bit of "eternity" that we already live in --that time that is not measurable, from where the self takes in the world.

"Now" is an eternal moment. No beginning, and no ending.

Great quote, I love, William Shakespear:

hell is a geographic location, bordered by Palestine and Saudi Arabia.

can i insert a joke?

ok, so these three guys die and go to Hell. one is British, one is American, one is Jordanian. the three guys are stunned, but decide to make the best of their situation.

the British guy yells to the Devil, "hey! i want to make a phone call! i want to call my family and see how they are!" the Devil says "sure" and points him to the phone. the British guy talks for maybe five minutes and hangs up. "ok, how much do i owe you?" the guys asks. "fifty thousand dollars", says the Devil. "what! what the ***!" cries the British guy, but he pays up.

the American guy then says "hey! i wanna make a phone call, i wann talk to my friends and family and see how they are!" the Devil lets him, and the American talks for maybe ten minutes. "how much do i owe you?" he asks. "one million dollars", says the Devil. the American is ticked! but he pays up cuz he has to.

next the Jordanian guy come up. "hey! i wanna make a phone call, i wanna call every man, woman, and child in my country and see how they are and talk to them!" the Devil lets him, no problem, and this guy talks for a good 20 hours, talking to everyone in Jordan. "how much do i owe you?" he asks the Devil. "20 cents", the Devil replies.

"what???" shout the other two guys. "come on, why so cheap for him?" the Devils says, "well, from hell to hell it's local".
