Aliens in your religion (Jesus, Earth, Buddhism, God, Savior)

Does your religion allow for aliens?

I'm not talking about little green men who abduct Earthlings. Most, or at least many, scientists believe other intelligent life exists. There are 100 billion or so galaxies, each with 100 billion or so stars which may have planets. That's a lot of chances for life.

So does your religion, in your opinion, have any objections to the possibility of other life in the Universe? Can those life-forms be more intelligent than us? Do you believe those life-forms have a relationship with God? Do they have a Jesus or a Mohammed? Do they have souls?....etc...?

I suspect we'd be alright with that. My religion is pretty big on treating the stranger well, and what could be more of a stranger?

Of course. Anything's possible. Heck, if they got to earth before we got to their planet, they're automatically smarter.

Of course. If they have subjective viewpoints, they have souls. (That's not to say a subjective viewpoint is a soul.)

Buddhism would cope with them as beings from another planet. I am convinced some Buddhist monks I encountered travelling coped with me as a being from another planet as well. Frubals to them.

Most definatly yes. We believe that God is God of the Universe, not just Earth.

Again, we believe that Christ is not just for Earth, He is the Savior for all the universe. And we also believe that other civilizations are just like ours, just in different stages of development, some more advanced, others less advanced.

I don't see any reason to deny the possibility of extra-terrestrial life.

If they are as intelligent or more intelligent than us, I would imagine that they might admire or follow the teachings of some prominent being(s) in their civilization.

I guess that depends how you define a soul.

I rather whimsically refer to this passage as "Baha'i Sci Fi."

As for my personal opinion, if one posits an All-Mighty Creator, it would be rather silly, in my opinion, to think that said Creator had so little creativity that humanity is the only sentient species He would create, or that only the Earth would have life on it.

When will we meet other species? Well, we haven't grown up enough that we have universally accepted the idea that humanity is a single species, so I'd say we're far from ready for that next level of development.
