Dreams for me. It happens quite a lot where i just seem to lose interest and get lost in the daily motions of life. Then i'll have a strange or religious dream and get the passion back.

I second Halcyon's comment regarding dreams.
Reading or listening to books about the cosmology or physics stirs up that "metaphysical awe," as do documentaries such as The Blue Planet, or Winged Migration. |

Quickest way for me: solitude and meditation, or just the latter will do if the former isn't possible. Lots of other things are great too but if I'm really lost I personally find nothing as helpful as sitting down and doing nothing.

The fastest way for me to get back on track is a day full of nothing. Its a day where I become a recluse of sorts. I don't go anywhere and I don't do anything more than read and go for a few long walks by myself. I try to do it once a week or at least every other week.

my college has a "college meeting for worship" that includes a message from a student, readings from books or poems chosen by the speaking student, and a Quakerly period of silence for reflection and sharing as part of the service. i love these! it is great to come together and listen to what others are thinking and doing spiritually. it's very uplifting and thaws one's heart.
so ya, that's another one of mine. ![]()
