Precisely my point, and why we are unable to climb that proverbial ladder. We're too heavy carrying all of our crap (attachments, preconceived notions, etc...).

This reminds me of that movie The Mission, when Bob DeNiro is carrying all that junk up the mountain, and an act of forgiveness by the very people he sinned against literally cuts away all the junk that was impeding his physical and spiritual climb.

Friends,
Once again reiterate that MIND is itself the paradox. Humans are unique in nature because of the developed mind and this very mind is also the barrier. The very mind creates atachments which gets loaded each day and the same mind when dropped the load drops with it freeing man and realising Tao. Love & rgds |

That's exactly my point zenzero. That is why humans are at the bottom of the proverbial ladder. I didn't think it would need to be reiterated so much.

The "way" refers to the way that existence exists, or the way being flows within and through all that is. That's why the river or stream analogy is often mentioned. By stilling our minds and desires, we can begin to sense this flow of being, within us, and through us, and through all that surrounds us. We can then align ourselves with the rest of existence through this flow, sort of the way the blades of water grass dance together within the currents and eddies of the water in a stream as it flows through and around and past them.
This is what it means to 'embody the tao'. It means to relax, and let go, and so humbly become what you already are. What you are before the names and the labels are applied. Who you are before you have time to consider it. And what you do naturally and un-self-consciously. |

PureX,
What you say is PURE. That is all Lao Tzu said by being ordinary the Tao flows and we follow the flow automatically, to the very end; which itself has no begining or end in itself. Love & rgds |
