Friend Master Vigil,
Its good that after your meditation you did not declare to have been enlightened!
There are two aspects in meditation.
1. Its about awareness. Meditation means Awareness / Dyana /Zen. If you say you lost awareness about your leg getting sore or numb etc means your awareness or dyana strayed.
2. The mind. Most people use the mind to focus and feel that is meditation. The mind ususlly craetes that feeling in us that we have reached the quiet place and we are enlightened. That is when the master brings or uses their sticks. Mind needs to be dropped or transcended and then only awareness or dyana or meditation starts. Whatever is done in that state is one with nature is a response to the enivironment. But can never be spoken about.
Love & rgds
