Just a question (Jesus, Buddhism, reincarnation, soul, Satanist)

I have become icreasingly interested ina game called Assassin's Creed. I started a thread about it here:

But what I wanted to ask concerns this quote from an article about the game:

I would say that, as it is... no. If it said, "Nothing is true, Everything is true. Everything is permitted, nothing is permitted." Than perhaps. But still, even what I said is a bit off when it comes to Taoism. The concept of everything being an illusion falls more under buddhism than it does Taoism.

"Everything is permitted" is a strange thing to say, no? Permitted by whom? Sounds like a superego hangover.

Buddhism actually came out of India and holds more aspects of reincarnation and soul based stuff than taoism, which i would compare more to a political philosophy book, kind of a zen thing with the philosophy of power to lead to understanding.


If you say "everything is an illusion and so lets cause chaos", as an opiate perversion of both those creeds, than i would steer you to the answer to the question of how Crowley's book of the Law was cursed to some who read it...its main tenant being "do what thou wilt"...that may be fine for good people, but there is another passage in there where he says "I flap my wings in muhammed's face and blind him, I peck at the eyes of Jesus as he hangs on the cross" Crowley obviously thinks that rotten hedonists are garbage...and that is what he thinks of the mentality. Crowley was raised in a very strict religious household. I don't think any individual life satanists have ever read anything about any GOD

I am quite familiar of the roots of Buddhism and it's aspects. What is your point?
