Nature and its power.
How often do we stop and feel the power of nature; not stop and look at it or think how great it is, but really sense it open all of ourselves to the sheer magnitude of nature? On Tuesday we went to the National Sea life center, it was amazing, to feel the fish, crabs, shrimp, sharks (technically fish i know but deserving of their own category) Ray's, and the most amazing feeling being i have felt, two Giant Green Sea Turtles, the nature of them the spirits, was a truly humbling. With all of them there was a feeling of deep connection, of the Tao and the multi verse breathing, within all of us. Truly humbling. The other feeling was one of recognition, one of the turtles, was a amazing gentle, wise yet slightly irritable he attracted the two ramoras they had in the gigantic aquarium, and got so irritated by them he'd try and squash them on the roof of the clear tunnel through the aquarium and another fish he also felt irritated by he often kicked like a football, to get it out of his way. To feel them was completely indescribable, the feeling of deep connection, with all things, not the knowledge but he actual feeling, is one I'm experiencing more often lately, have always had to a certain extent since childhood, but lately its like more, a feeling of the ebb and flow of the force of life, the Tao, in every waking moment, its amazing. Must be what being like the Great Turtles feel all the time, from birth, truly humbling. Quote:

To all who feel the true force behind all things, this chapter means so much more than it appears to do so. As indead all chapters and things do the further along the path one becomes. love and peace becca ![]()

How...dysfunctional of you aintasaint
![]() Becca reading that made me feel all relaxed and contemplative. ![]() I love aquariums. I used to work in one of the smaller Sealife Centers. We didn't have any Giant Sea Turtles but the Rays in one tank were amazing. I used to love watching them swim and stroking them when they came up to the surface to be petted. My other favourite was one of the Conger Eels. For most of the day it'd stay in its hole and watch people walking by with this crazy grumpy looking expression. When we'd closed to the public it would come out to play. If I stuck my head round the corner of its tank and pulled stupid faces it would sort of dance or mock-bite the glass. Actually, I'm not sure if it found that annoying but I thought it seemed to de-stress it somehow.

What a truly wonderful post! I do so agree with you, and yes, the 'humbling' I was concentrating on that this very morning. I vaguely thought to try and post a thread about it, but was aware that I would draw 'flack' from some of our dye-hard atheist, Bless them! I spend half an hour stroling through woods each day - that is my church. That is where I pray (I am still a 'follower of Christ'), but I am comming more and more to the conclusion that 'God' as I know 'him' may just as well be the entirity of nature. As soon as I step in, among the trees, I feel a wave of emotion, a welcome ? It is beautiful.Though it needs to be to get me there lol, being disabled. I feel, the second I leave those woods, a great sadness at the sight of concrete, bricks, roads, and today, I even found myself apologising to God, nature, whatever, for the way we have spoilt the wonderful gift of nature, by building our attrocities.......... Hope you' ll accept a hug; you made my day, with your post. ![]()

Thankyou Becca. I spend time every day in a beautiful park meditating and I am thankful to be so fortunate as to live in this country where this is possible. We are a part of nature, and humanity forgets this in it's pursuit of the illusion of control.
