Yes all good metaphors. I know that I don't know what is behind such metaphors, possibly its just a bizarre mental anomaly (but a fairly common one!) Sometimes it seems very real and at other times it seems like a machination of the irrational mind. Whatever the case it gives me a tenaciously 'positive outlook' and I only have to flip the switch to go into ecstatic trance. Doesn't seem to do me any harm. That's its usefulness. Beyond that its fairly impractical.
