What do any of you think about the lost writings of Lao Tzu? Do you believe they are truely his writings? Or do you believe they are just the teachings of Ni-Hua Ching, and falsely attributed to Lao Tzu?

much like the discussion as to whether the Tao Te Ching really was written by Lau Tzu or not,as with this i tend to feel with Hua Hu Ching, does it really matter? If the words within resonate and lead us to thoughts and meditations where we travel along our Paths, is it important where the words come from?

After finding the translation here I very much doubt the same person/people/fraggle responsible the Tao Te Ching would have put that together.

Woops, I spelled it wrong. Hua Hu Ching. HAHA!!
I agree that it isn't Lao Tzu's writings. Especially since it discusses practices clearly not around during Lao Tzu's time. Such as Tai Chi Chuan.

After reading these passages, they just seem like an attempt to say the same thing, more bluntly. It fairly smacks of Protestant influenced Taoism. Perhaps it's just the translation. I do agree with the Munchkin though. Whatever leads you to understanding. ![]()
